UEFA propose FA Cup winners get CL spot (conditional)

UEFA want to give the FA Cup winners a CL spot BUT only if they have the right credentials!!!! That is a BIG CLUB with a history of European football, if a smaller team win it (basically everyone bar the big 6) then it doesn’t apply it’s off to the Europa League as is now.

If we win the Europa league and get into next season champions league do we go straight into the draw or would we have to play a playoff game or two.
Europa League winners go straight to group stage, of the Champions League regardless, of which country they are from.

I've thought for years it should be Top Three and FA Cup Winners in the Champions League but not the way they suggest it. If it was just the Winners whoever they are it would really put the sparkle back in the FA Cup.
Personally I would prefer going back to European Cup, UEFA Cup and Cup Winners Cup in Knockout Format but that's never going to happen.

That's cheating and creating a cartel!
Looks like they might need another wake up call from the fans and a reminder who really makes the game what it is.
Different prizes depending on who the winner is, tut tut.
Can't believe how thick & greedy they are. If it somehow does happen it will go to the Court of Arbitration for sport or British courts, surely. Any decent lawyer should be able to argue why this is wrong and unfair on so many levels, even I could.

History says Forest have lifted the biggest trophy in European football twice, three out of the current top 6 in the PL have never won it........one of them has never even one the PL and another only once.....funny how it's twisted to suit......

I reckon most people would say that the idea that the FA cup winner should get a CL spot at all is what is utter horse shit. It will rarely happen though, if ever.

So if Forest or Ipswich ever win the FA Cup do they get a spot in the CL as they've actually won the top European trophies? One of them has actually won the league as opposed to coming 2nd/3rd/4th..........it's there in football history.....where did this ground zero come from?

I don't think it's only about capitulation to the super league wannabes. UEFA stand to make a lot of dosh out of the new format and were already making plans for something like this. 100 extra CL games and more elite vs elite games = €€€.
All clubs will play at least 10 games in the CL and EL, up to 17 or even 19, which will probably cause problems for PL and League cup match scheduling. Won't be much room for midweek games.

I really wish that Super league had gone ahead, we would be much better without them cunts. It would be us and Wolves fighting it out and we could even get the Jocks to join the league.

Yet another indicator as to how totally corrupt football has become, no doubt in my mind this is another capitulation to the so called big six for not withdrawing from the premiership. Next season 5 subs which benefits the big money spenders, the following season an extra place in the Champions League provided you have form (history) in European competitions.
They should have been kicked out of the Premiership when they announced their plans to set up the 'super league' but sky would have withdrawn some financial support which no doubt would have hit the pockets of those who administer the game. Sickening, and no doubt more major rule changes to follow.
